a great place to travel around Surrey... we went to the Brooklyn museum and the Mercedes Exhibition. the guildford cathedral, Brocketts Farm. all within an hours drive.
Guildfod is a charming little city. Have a brunch there in one of the older traditionnal cafés. The countryside is beautiful, so it is worth having a car and drive around. I recommend Newlands Corner, a beautiful spot for sightseing, walking ( many trails start from there) or picnic. It has great views on the Surrey Hills.
Reigate is rated one of the best villages in Surrey every year for restaurants, scenery, access to hikes and Surrey Downs vistas. The town has some amazing restaurants and sights.
I was taking part in the Guildford International Music Festival at the University of Surrey, which was a great cultural experience for me. The city itself is cozy, with nice houses, shops, coffee places and restaurants.
A very nice, clean suburb of Surrey. Good pubs. Close enough to London and places like Oxford for a day trip
lovely village surrounded by the beautiful surrey countryside.....quintessentially engish with thatch cottages and village greens. A good curry house and independent shops. lots of good cafes.
Staines is 35 minutes by train outside London. It is a convenient location for visiting Surrey tourism spots such as Legoland, Windsor Castle and Runnymede. Also a short train ride from Royal Kew Gardens and a short taxi ride from the beautiful Savil Garden. Runnymede is also nearby, site of the signing of the Magna Carta and an interesting half-day trip. The park also includes a memorial to President Kennedy. The town itself is emerging as a bedroom community to London. Although not terribly picturesque, it has all the amenities, including an easy bus ride to Heathrow for under £5. The Swan is reason enough to visit. Such a great pub and hotel.
Beautiful town in Surrey Hills. Winding roads and breathtaking views. Extremely friendly people. Waterstones is a cozy little bookshop that is great for book lovers. Cote and Rialto for tasty food. Support the Hospice.
Lovely city. Great array of shops and places to eat. Lovely oldy worldy charm and close to the Surrey Hills with beautiful countryside.
A really nice town with lost of shops and pubs. Excellent base for exploring the Surrey Hills and surrounding places of interest.
The room was comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was good with a selection of hot and cold choices. Orange and apple juice were both very watery, but the assistant set out to rectify the problem as soon as she was made aware of it. All staff were pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The location is not only great for the races, it also serves as a good base for visiting Surrey and the south east counties as well as close proximity to London.
Located in the rural Surrey countryside and a good base from which to explore the south. Also half an hour by train to central London. Pretty grounds and walking distance to the village. Nice layout with pool, gym, bar, restaurant. Took advantage of a great buffet dinner and the next morning a buffet breakfast. The staff were superb - with a shout out to the many easy going Aussie expats working there.
Very modern and stylish hotel. Great location for train station to travel around Surrey. Rooms exceptionally clean and have a modern train style. Bathroom was very nice. Simple checking in and out process. Rooms well equipped with tea making facilities and Nespresso. Comfy beds. The hotel is also a steakhouse which serves brilliant food. Would stay again.
Larger than expected hotel, it was like a labyrinth with corridors and stairs going in all directions, I even got lost going upstairs when I should of gone along a corridor then upstairs, there were signs ! Lovely original features. We had a lovely view (over the car park) of the Surrey Hills. Good size room Shower was good.

A treat and retreat! Beautiful tranquil surroundings, forest walks, lovely wines, farm shop, staff and gorgeous, cute hotel. A special thank you to Flori who went out of her way to look after me, I didn’t want to leave! Highly recommend this Surrey hills gem of a place.
Lovely setting in Surrey hills. The waiter, Mo, in restaurant, extremely friendly and helpful. Pool facilities OK, but no staff to show me where to get a towel or describe what facilities were available ( I had to ask a guest in the pool.)
Farnborough
I have Stayed at the Saco about 10 times now. I find it so simple to book, check in and have the freedom to do whatever due to it being more an apartment not just a room. love this place will use it for all future trips to Surrey.
Welcomed by the lovely reception team and the location is great. Ideal for the races or a trip to Surrey hills or south West London. Hotel is right by the high street with lots of good restaurants.
Stunning hotel and grounds, staff friendly, plenty of options at breakfast, spacious room, great location with lots of nearby places to visit in Surrey
Location is excellent, so close to Blackdown, Haslemere and Surrey Hills walks , breakfast was excellent as was staff attentiveness.
What a surprising hotel, tucked away in the Surrey Hill with a gorgeous pond in front of it I felt miles away from anywhere.
Esher
The location in Esher, old English Town in Surrey. The food was very good as usual. The bedroom was comfortable bit small.
